Wherever we come from, mentally or physically, we have a choice in life to actively seek the positive and uplifting.
Sometimes, there is no denying – that’s bloody hard. But I happen to believe we shouldn’t give in.
There are more inspiring vistas to be found in the everyday. If we look for them.
There are wonders in nature, wonders in the human spirit, and moments of inspiration hiding in the most unassuming, and frankly, often rather silly places.
I passionately believe in attempting positivity whatever the odds…
I also believe in the extraordinary power of stepping outside our front doors...
And it doesn’t need to be mountains, lakes and forests.
Sometimes it’s a bold roadside dandelion in sunshine, or a cross eyed blackbird, that lifts our moods.
When we immerse ourselves in nature, when we embrace wilder thinking, when we set out determined to find beauty and refuge in the simple things, and in the silly things that life has to offer – we heal, and we nurture our senses.
It doesn’t have to be revolutionary to make a difference.
To boldly go where no woman has gone before (or at the very least, for a short walk down the back lane)
